Panax(Araliaceae) species is an important plant source of natural medicine, almost every Panax species is believed to be beneficial to physical health, they are widely used for medicinal and health care in in East Asia, Southeast Asia and South Asia. Some Panax species have entered the stage of mature breeding research, and a large number of Panax species have been planted in China and South Korea. The medicinal ingredients and pharmacological effects of Panax species have also been widely exploited. However, with the continuous emergence of new compounds from Panax species, the study of medicinal function differences from Panax may face new challenges. Omics data is also an important contents in the study of Panax species. Although a large number of Panax omics data have been reported in various databases, most of them are not directly usable and unfriendly, and the data information is scattered. Therefore, we builded this Panax database which concentrated genomics, transcriptome, metabolomics, varieties information and other comprehensive data information database, to improve the efficient use of data. At the same time, we welcome any suggestions on this database, and look forward to having more like-minded friends to join our team.
