Description

Herbs, perennial; Short rhizome,whip shaped,transverse,with 2 to a few fleshy roots; Succulent roots cylindrical,ca.2-4 cm long,ca.1 cm in diameter,longitudinally wrinkled when dry. Stems solitary on the ground,about 40 cm tall, longitudinal, glabrous,base with persistent scales. The leaves are palmately compound,4 of which are rotated at the apex of the stem. Petiole 4-5 cm long, longitudinally striated,glabrous; Stipules small,lanceolate,5-6 mm long; Small leaf blade 3-4,the film quality, transparent, elliptic to oval, the center one is the 9-10 cm long,3.5-4 cm wide, lateral small,apex long acuminate, base gradually narrow, decurrent, margin with biserrate, 1.5-2 mm long, glabrous below blade surface, lateral veins 8-10 on surface, two sides clearly, Reticulate veins obvious; Petiole 2-10 mm long,tuft bristle at junction with apex of petiole. Umbel single terminal,ca.3.5 cm in diameter, with 20-50 flowers; Pedicels ca.12 cm long,longitudinally striated, glabrous; Pedicels slender,glabrous,ca. 1 cm long; Bracts inconspicuous; Yellow-green; Calyx cup-shaped (calyx of male flowers gyroscopic), margin with 5 triangular teeth;Petals 5, Stamens 5; Ovary 2-loculed; Styles 2 (1 on pistil in male flowers), free, controse.
